The BodyGuard™
has been
successfully tested at the Ball State University Human
Performance Laboratory in 2001 and shown to provide the mechanisms (increased hip torque from 53.10% to 90.83% during muscle flexion and
190.52% to 284.63% during muscle extension) to significantly reduce
groin and hamstring injuries, increase vertical jump performance by
2.4cm (2.5cm = 1 inch), increase squat depth from 6.65% to 7.49%,
reduce muscle vibration from 35.30% to 51.51%, raise muscle
temperature to its optimum performance level of 38.5C then maintain
it, and absorb impact trauma (11.56% to 26.63%) associated with contact
sports/physical activities.
All these benefits combined work to
reduced muscle pain and damage associated with exercise, improve
recovery time and have a positive influence on an athlete's longevity.
